About this piece

The decorative plate is the widest, flattest piece in the collection: 33 cm across, a broad surface meant only to be seen, not to serve food. "Prato" comes from Vulgar Latin plattus, "flat," itself from Greek platys — the same root as "plateau."

Decorative wall plate, 33 cm diameter. Pattern 4: blues with brown dots.

About this pattern

In this variation, the plate's surface is a field for a dialogue between blues and browns. Shades of blue, from cyan and turquoise to a deeper slate, form concentric bands that receive dots and dashes in terracotta brown, creating a sense of depth and movement. Wider cobalt blue bands, also dotted, traverse the creation, overlapping in a dynamic geometry that establishes a hypnotic visual rhythm. The pattern, with its smooth, brilliant finish, is reminiscent of ancestral tapestries or imaginary celestial maps. Hung on a wall, the piece becomes a vibrant point of interest in a studio or hallway. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
