About this piece
The decorative plate is the widest, flattest piece in the collection: 33 cm across, a broad surface meant only to be seen, not to serve food. "Prato" comes from Vulgar Latin plattus, "flat," itself from Greek platys — the same root as "plateau."

M-51
Decorative wall plate, 33 cm diameter. Pattern 2: olive, purple and yellow.
About this pattern
In this creation, bands of olive green, purple, and yellow meet in an energetic composition. Exploring the ceramic disc as an open canvas, ceramist and painter Dani creates a counterpoint of movements: diagonal swaths of white and purple stripes cross over dotted arcs of magenta, yolk yellow, and white. The pattern, with its subtly raised dots, has a tactile quality that complements the vibrancy of the colors. The work reveals an intuitive design, born from the gesture itself upon the surface. Perfect for bringing dynamism to a dining room or studio wall. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
