About this piece

The colonial vase takes up the round-bellied, wide-mouthed silhouette of the clay jars that marked utilitarian pottery in colonial-era Brazil — hence the name, which describes the shape rather than a fixed period. The piece is presented in three sizes: Small, up to 15 cm; Medium, 15–25 cm; and Large, above 25 cm.

Pattern 3: brown with orange and cream circles.

About this pattern

In this version of the Colonial vase, ceramist and painter Dani explores an earthy yet vibrant palette. Against a deep brown background with a matte finish, dozens of concentric circles emerge in relief, creating a rich and tactile surface. Shades of orange, ochre, and cream alternate in layers, punctuated by small spheres that seem to float across the piece. The pattern evokes the rhythm of popular painting, applied with the creator's free-flowing pulse, where each circle holds a unique gesture. The generous creation is ideal for plants with dense foliage or to stand out as a focal point in a room or on a veranda. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
