About this piece

The ball vase has the most literal name in the collection: a spherical body, 18 cm tall by 18 cm wide, resting on a small foot — "bola" comes from Vulgar Latin bulla, "bubble, small sphere," the same root as "balloon."

About this pattern

In this iteration of the Bola vase, ceramist and painter Dani explores a sober palette of grey, aqua, and black. The spherical surface is organized into rings that follow one another with rhythmic precision. Near the opening, a garland of subtly raised white dots floats over a dotted grey background. Below, an aqua band displays concentric circles reminiscent of targets, interacting with dark bands where pointillist motifs are arranged in columns. The paint, applied directly by brush, creates a delicate texture that invites touch. The geometric pattern embraces the vessel's form, a sculptural creation that stands out on a sideboard or within a niche. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
