About this piece

The basin is the lowest, most open piece in the studio: 11.5 cm tall by 24 cm wide, a wide mouth and a shallow profile. The word comes from Vulgar Latin baccea, an old name for wide, shallow containers, which reached Portuguese already carrying that sense of an open vessel.

Pattern 1: orange with turquoise band.

About this pattern

In this version of the bowl, ceramist and painter Dani explores a vibrant chromatic contrast. Hues of orange, terracotta, and red dominate the body of this creation, entirely textured with raised dots that form hypnotic, concentric circles. Near the rim, a wide turquoise band undulates, separated by a delicate line of off-white dots. The meticulous painting, applied point-by-point without a preliminary sketch, evokes the ripples on calm water reflecting the colors of a sunset. It serves elegantly as a centerpiece that radiates warmth and sophistication. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
