About this piece
The cylindrical vase is the most geometric piece in the collection: a straight body, no curves, the shape ceramicists call cylindrical because it repeats the cylinder exactly — from Greek kylindros, "that which rolls," via Latin cylindrus. It comes in two sizes (Medium, 13 cm tall by 20 cm wide; Large, 17 by 27 cm).

About this pattern
In this variation of the cylindrical vase, the ceramic surface is enveloped in a vibrant turquoise ground. Upon it, ceramist and painter Dani has built sinuous waves from thousands of raised paint dots, lending the piece a rich, tangible texture. A central band in warm shades of orange and red snakes across the body, while concentric circles of yellow, cream, and terracotta brown seem to float on the blue expanse. The continuous pattern evokes the rhythmic pulse of ocean tides, a design that wraps around the form with no visible beginning or end. It is a striking creation, perfect for holding dried branches or serving as a focal point of color and texture on a shelf. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
