About this piece
The cylindrical vase is the most geometric piece in the collection: a straight body, no curves, the shape ceramicists call cylindrical because it repeats the cylinder exactly — from Greek kylindros, "that which rolls," via Latin cylindrus. It comes in two sizes (Medium, 13 cm tall by 20 cm wide; Large, 17 by 27 cm).

Against the matte white surface of this vase, large arcs resembling partial mandalas emerge. Painted in a muted slate blue and deep black, these motifs are composed of concentric circles and dots, creating a hypnotic visual rhythm. The pattern, which also includes tiny black dots scattered across the surface and a delicate dark wave at the rim, explores the continuity of the cylindrical form in an uninterrupted flow. Its inspiration comes from the layering of shapes that seem to expand and contract.
