About this piece

The bottle is the only piece in the collection made of glass: 32 cm tall, a slender body, reclaimed from recycled glass and hand-repainted. The word comes from Arabic gharrafa, linked to the verb gharafa, "to draw water with the hands or with a ladle" — the same root as "garrafão" (demijohn).

Hand-painted recycled glass. Pattern 2: blue with white, orange and gold circles.

About this pattern

Upon a velvety cobalt blue background, the ceramist and painter Dani scatters a constellation of vibrant circles. Each motif is a unique composition of concentric rings in orange, white, black, and light blue, with golden dots that shimmer like tiny stars. The paint, applied in palpable layers, creates a subtle texture, a delicate relief that invites the touch. The steady pulse of the wrist guides the brush over the curved surface, transforming the glass's original transparency into a mosaic of colours. This creation serves as an elegant vase for a single long-stemmed flower or as a spot of colour on a shelf. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
