About this piece

The colonial vase takes up the round-bellied, wide-mouthed silhouette of the clay jars that marked utilitarian pottery in colonial-era Brazil — hence the name, which describes the shape rather than a fixed period. The piece is presented in three sizes: Small, up to 15 cm; Medium, 15–25 cm; and Large, above 25 cm.

About this pattern

In this version of the Colonial vase, ceramist and painter Dani explores a vibrant dialogue between earthy and cool tones. Against a luminous orange background, a profusion of raised dots creates a tactile, rhythmic surface. Wavy bands at the mouth and base are filled with concentric circles in cobalt blue and brown, resembling geological layers. The central body is sprinkled with brown and cream dots and medallions that echo the bands' colors—a freehand painting gesture reminiscent of popular ornamentation. This creation is generous for hosting plants with deep green foliage, whose color contrasts with its warmth. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
