About this piece
The candlestick is the most slender piece in the collection: a thin stem 4.2 cm wide, in two sizes (Smaller, 13.5 cm; Larger, 17.5 cm tall). "Castiçal" comes from "castiço," from Latin castus, a term that over the centuries shifted from meaning "genuine" to naming traditional household objects, eventually settling on the candle holder we know today.

About this pattern
In this vibrant creation, the candlestick's stem is composed of rounded segments, each with its own palette and texture. Upon backgrounds ranging from deep black to burgundy red and royal blue, the ceramist and painter Dani distributes meticulous, raised dots. Shades of lime green, orange, yellow, and vivid red form a tactile mosaic that seems to shimmer, even when unlit. The inspiration is the light itself: the colours and raised dots are designed to dance beneath the flame, evoking sparks rising in the dark. Ideal for a centerpiece or console table, this creation provides a focal point of colour and texture. One of a kind, with Dani's mark on the base.
